Id give palmer a bit of a reality check and put him on the bench for a game. Thought he was poor other night. Usually a starter with me but think id go as below. Collins Sibbick Helik Halme Bittain Vita Styles Gomes lseka Woodrow Freiser
We’re missing so many key players that I think we’re in for another rough ride whoever makes the starting XI
We've still got enough quality players to win the game, Injuries are part of the game we need to get over it and start believing in ourselves.
Your not confident that we can field a team to beat Blackburn today? 7or 8 of today's starting line up finished 5th last season with another 2or3 that were involved plus we've got 4 or 5 new lads available, I'd say we should definitely believe.
Think that side more or less picks itself to be fair. Not many other options unless we’re putting square pegs in round holes again.
If it wasn’t for Collins, we’d have been absolutely battered on Wednesday. The defence looks all over the place, we’re missing a midfield lynchpin, and this forward line couldn’t score 20 goals a season between them - unless Cauley gets 15 penalties. Even the remaining stars of last year’s campaign, Helik, Styles and Brittain have looked distinctly average this season. I’m hopeful that with Morris, Benson, and Anderson back there will be a big improvement. But until then I think we’re carrying too many unproven or simply not good enough players to thrive at this level.
Thats the obviuos side i think most of us are crying out to see, I think Schopp will have his hammer out though banging in the pegs where they dont fit.
I agree about looking wide open and not too threatening going foreward but I think a lot of that is because of the change in tactics and the fact that were trying to play more football which might or might not work for us. We need a win today to settle things down a bit and we've certainly got the players to do it.
Could win but they still seem brittle and unsure of things to me. I think it'll be another defeat. At the moment I'd take a draw. I don't sound optimistic I know but that's my take just now. There have been glimpses of some good stuff but its intermittent, there are a lack of goals and the defence looks less tight.
Today really really needs the backing of the crowd , those who went to Stoke were fantastic . Let's hope that can be repeated today ,this will certainly help the players who know we need to get a win under our belt. The 12th man/ woman, today will get us over the line.
Totally agree about looking brittle and that's why we need a win or two to give the players a confidence boost.
Mmmm I think the fans have been half decent at home so far. Better than some few games for a new manager. Just hope they don't turn if we go behind.
