Not too sure maybe our current league position and run coupled with a lot of questionable team selections.
Thought some changes would be in order after last 2 games, McCarthy what's the lad got to do to get in the side and Bradshaw needs to play he's the only striker scoring ... I like Potts in the middle but no way is he a winger too slow and can't beat a man so easy day for their left back .. I'd be ecstatic with a score draw to get some confidence back in the side ... come on tarn!
Prior to last Tuesday’s game (which we should’ve got à point minimum) we had lost 1 in 8, I’d take that as a good run.....this league is about fine margins, Saturday we were *****, absolutely garbage to be accurate but we’ll cone again, tonight could be the night, if I’m honest I’m fairly optimistic tonight but then again I always think we’ll win.....maybe a need to be a little more pessimistic then when we capitulate it dosent feel as bad!!
It's a 4231 formation - with both anchor midfielders (Williams, Gardner) in the side allowing the other 3 midfielders to get forward more quickly. Interesting stuff.
Rotating the striker every game ???? Do we know the pecking order, this needs to be the priority to sort out.
Very surprised at the inclusion of Gardner, based on what I saw on Saturday, and the same goes for Moncur and Ugbo. Gardner in particular was very unimpressive and way off the pace against Leeds. Not expecting much tonight with those selections; hope to be proved wrong.
Hope we win but initial thoughts are: Moncur literally strolled through the first half on Saturday, was subbed at half time and starts. Gardner, his replacement, consistently gave the ball away. He starts. Potts refused to play on the wing second half, taking up a sort of inside right position and the second hald completely passed him by him. He starts on the wing. Ugbo was about as ineffectual as a forward can be. He starts. Hedges was the only bright spark, produced more on his own than the rest of the team put together. He's still on the bench. So, having said all that, we'll win 2-0, just to make me look a ****, but I'm really struggling to see how.
Sky sports news - reading by far the better team, having all the ball and looking far more threatening. Come on reds. Get into them.
3 quick players set up for the counter. Reading 70% possession. Reds win 1-0 with goal in 2nd half and very few shots in game
Our last few managers all ended up doing strange selections and line ups in an effort not to lose. This better not be the same
I’m just reading through the comments, did people not go to the Cardiff game? Hedges was every bit as bad in that as Moncur was on Saturday. I like Hedges but he only performs off the bench. Whenever he gets a start he’s poor
I honestly dont think it was an amazing prediction. That team stank and if Davies is in net on Saturday then we may as well give Bolton 3 points!
