    Nearly all the success Barnsley have had over the years has come from managers who you wouldn't expect.Stendel,Struber,Val.Not one of those had any pedigree as such but there coaching styles brought something different to the team.Sometimes the unknown can achieve what the merry go round of managers can't.
    In all fairness he wouldn't have been my choice but you never know what he might have done with his philosophy of the game.Its a challange for who ever takes over theres no hard and fast rules to play to.

    Managed 13 games in Europe won 8, drawn 2, lost 3.
    Doubt we will be getting a manager with that pedigree now.
    His first season at Brugge played 18, won 9, drew 5, lost 4. Averaged 1.78 points per game.

    Doubt we’ll be getting a manager who has averaged 1.78 points per game in a season in the 9th highest ranked league in Europe.

    What an utterly uninspiring appointment that would have been. I don't know what's worse, the fact we chose this guy or the fact we didn't even do the basic checks, again!

    The board are finished for me, just like Khaled, they are out of their depth and are just causing more harm than good.

    Who do you suppose/suggest takes over? I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of our board but the point remains they've put in money without which we'd be sunk. I don't see a Hollywood investment team waiting to snap us up. Or an oil billionaire. Barnsley isn't known for it's rich fans.

    If the current owners quit we might well end up bust or dropping down the leagues due to financial problems like Bury etc

    So we probably did all the media stuff waiting on the work permit that never came and because we put all our eggs in one basket, we are now scrambling around for someone who will know they were second choice at best. What a utter shambles. I wouldn't be surprised if an interview with him was recorded ready to put on iFollow.
