Looks to me as though Chris Froome( or Dave Brailsford) made some terrible mistakes today. Sky have Mikel Landa up the road with Alberto Contador leading the stage at one point in the race Landa was only 15 seconds of taking the overall lead off Fabio Aru (who had no domestiques and with him) and with Nairo Quuintana, Warren Barguil and Sky's Michal Kwiakowski only 30 seconds behind for some reason Kwiakowski was called back to Froome and all the GC contenders, Quintana and Barguil joined up with Landa and Contador, for me if Kwiakowski had joined as well working with Landa he would now be in the Yellow jersey but unfortunately Froome and Kwiakowski attacked Aru stupidly as there was no need, Aru was in his element and held on to the yellow jersey easily thanks to Froome or Brailsford.
Team Sky know what they are doing. Froome just needs to stay in contention with Aru until the TT when he will blow all the GC riders away and be back in Yellow.
Last few days have been very exciting. Shame the race lost a lot of the best sprinters early on. As Manlito says, I'd expect, barring injury / a major crash / **** up, for Froome to be in yellow in Paris. Can blow the riders at the top of the GC away in the time trial, so one of them would need at least a minute lead to stand a chance.
