    Sells cars and clothes. Gets tattoos 24 hours before local derbies. If you've got tattoos you'd know how stupid that is.

    Had all summer then had a huge tattoo on his arm the Friday before we played Sheff Utd.

    His performance that day said everything.

    How is it daft? He's been picked out as an individual to lead the team. I didn't pick him.

    He's the captain and he's one of the least professional players in the team.

    He’s Hecky’s choice so he must see leadership qualities in him. Personally I have nothing against him but don’t think he is captaincy material. The problem is no one else is either.

    Bit disrespectful this imo. Calling somene the "car salesman" is no different than the "ex Barnet defender".

    I like Gus. Good work for charity over the summer, seems to interact with the fans too. He's the best option for captaincy out of the current squad - Lindsay aside.

    I think think the criticism is unjust , I thought he played very well yesterday & would have been my choice for MOM , however , we have lost a couple of matches, so predictably it is open season on our players & people feel justified in slinging personal insults about , pathetic

    I like Gus, I think he's a good, steady championship defender and as others have said there is no other obvious candidate for captain.
