... who I trust implicitly and is close to Hecky that he has been offered £30k per week to go there. Little obstacles in the deal will be signed shortly. Gutted ... one of own :'(
If he goes I would be disappointed. I want him to stay and succeed. But if he continues to fail I'd eventually want him to go. Eventually. No putting him on a pedestal. The club is all I am interested in. He'd become a former employee. "One of our own" - load of b0llocks.
Didn’t they restrict wages to 15k a week max for players? Can’t see them paying him double that. What was he on here? Can’t imagine they’d need to offer that.
Wonder how many on here would turn that down (if true!) . Good luck to him. If his heart isn’t in it any more then it’s probably for the best. Just bad timing, but you don’t get to choose when opportunities like that come your way.
Well, I have to say I wouldn't. If I was 40 years old and could earn £30k a week doing a job I love, close to home, knowing that even if it goes belly up, I'd be set for life, I'd go for it. I have no idea if £30k is correct but even on a 1 year contract, that's an absolute fortune. To be fair, he deserves it. Today has made me realise again football is just crap, but I don't begrudge Hecky his payday one bit.
That would be the tester, but to be fair, I'd always put my family first, especially if my job was being questioned.
Not sure about him deserving it, even considering obvious circumstances surrounding the last 12 months. Had he jumped ship a year ago, I'd have said yes he deserved his move then, but not based on his results since. I'm not sure that 7 wins in a calendar year merits such a whopping pay rise.
