A couple of your very good paintings above the number 1 bog so people can admire them while having a slash.

This bit I like! Think its hilarious the utter disgust it conjures up when journos stumble upon it in horror after having their arse blow dried and toweled n talc'd at the copious amount of plastic stadiums around the country.

Traditional stand with traditional facility's. we would miss it if it was gone

You can't just whack an upper tier on top!! the lower tier is integral and designed to hold wooden flooring and a corrugated roof.

And it doesn't smell of piss, never has. The bogs do, but that's purely because people piss in them.

Truth is, it has been left too long. 20 years between the east and west stands and that's if they do it now. As time goes on the east and ponty will become inadequate. I don't expect any serious action on the west for at least 10 years, when there is a clear direction how the whole stadium will progress in the next 30 -50 years.

Should the west stand be the conclusion to the vision established by the East? Or should it set the template and take the lead on a whole new structure, possibly an enclosed bowl? Plus none of the newer stands match, it all looks a bit oddball. The west stand should stay as it is until there is a serious plan in place for a stadium to take us towards the next century.

Or people can wipe their arses on the unsold collector's prints? Bit slippy though, straight up your back like that Izal stuff we had in schools back in the 80s

I can only imagine short term fixes happening within the next 20 years.

if the worst was to happen and the stand didnt get a safety ceritficate they would close the upper tier, and leave the lower tier only , eventually tearing down the top tier , sticking a plastic temorary roof on the lower tier and bang.. away you go

i cant be arsed to find a picture but if you google the milton end at fraton park, portsmouth you'll so sort of get my idea!

I don't think anyone is realistically asking for a new stand. Better things to spend our money on. But it needs a tidy up. Doesn't need to cost a lot

Mansford is the new CEO, he has replaced Don.

    He's not a builder or a multi-million pound arab.

I watched that Sarah Beeney programme t'other day. For a few pounds the wooden seats could be lightly sanded, dry brushed with a cream glaze. Then partially resanded to give them that distressed shabby chic look.

    I'd gladly project manage that!

Id gladly project manage Sarah Beeney. Pound, dry bum her with a cream glaze, and give her a distressed shabby chick look?

I'm not sure what resanding had to do with it though.

Not that I usually agree with Conan, but although i like the west stand a coat of paint wouldn't go amiss,it's still painted in the John Smiths livery of the Courage years which I think dates it to probably 25yrs plus since it was last done, even if it was only the front and particularly where the cameras are mounted it would look a lot better from inside.
