Barnsley does know something many parts of the Country doesn’t know. How to be continuously hit with nasty and vindictive policies and have your communities devastated. Council having 40% budget cuts. Your user name suggests you Live or have lived or have some connection with the village that was the home of Cortonwood Pit, total shame on you.

And it will remain an absolute farce until it reforms from the inside and it stops being a political football.

Throwing money at it would not fix any of the issues. They lie deeper than that.

It wont make a jot of difference if its the Torys,Labour or Monster Raving Loonies in charge.

Which party is that aimed at as it would describe a Tory, labour or (shudder) brexit government.
While ever Labour still pretend that their party is still fit for purpose and doesn’t need to fold and start again, we will never get these fuckers out.

    slightly o/t -

UK hopefully will have a labour Government by Friday - country run on Socialist principles etc.
It seems likely the EU will move to the Right over the next few years.
To maintain Socialist values as a basis for running the UK would this country be better off out of a Right leaning EU.

Go on then what are these deep lying issues that can’t be resolved by money. Do any solutions involve privatisation of even more of the NHS?

No the majority of people in this country would not be better of with any Right leaning govt. History proves that

No, the world doesn't work like that. Nobody is promising instant changes on the scale you suggest, but at least Labour's policies set the ship moving slowly in the right direction, away from the iceberg.

    Worrying times ahead .
These Charlatans will steal in on the Get Brexit Done mantra and all those that voted for them will be calling Barnsley Council as the Tory propaganda machine goes into overtime whilst Yank carpet baggers circle ,

Not saying the NHS isn't underfunded and at certain times of year overstretched but... you do realise that the boy had been admitted, triaged and WAS given a bed and treatment?. The reason he was not in a bed when the picture was taken was that a clinical decision must have been made which prioritised a new more urgent admission and the boy was not considered ill enough to retain the bedspace.
Even then, I find it hard to understand why, given those circumstances why the boy would have ended up in the corridor on the floor rather than on a trolley, a wheelchair or at the absolute minimum given a blanket and pillow and taken to a waiting area with his mother. The whole episode sounds very odd to say the least given the timing, the original source (Labour supporting newspaper) and the lack of a statement from the hospital. The fact even after the mother requested that the boy not be made a political football, Corbyn stood in front of a crowd, and did just that speaks volumes of a man who many on here consider to be beyond reproach and of having great integrity.

    What, like this one?

Dr Yvette Oade, Chief Medical Officer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust said: “Our hospitals are extremely busy at the moment and we are very sorry that Jack’s family had a long wait in our Emergency Department.

"Our Chief Executive Julian Hartley has spoken to Jack’s mum and offered a personal apology.

“We have seen a significant increase in the number of people visiting our Paediatric Emergency Department, and this week we saw the highest attendances we have seen since April 2016.

"Despite this, our staff are working tirelessly to provide the best possible care under these extreme pressures.

“Jack was quickly assessed upon arrival and seen in two different clinical treatment rooms in the Paediatric Emergency Department.

“Within four hours a decision was made to admit Jack to our Children’s Assessment and Treatment (CAT) Unit for further monitoring overnight.

"Unfortunately, the unit was also experiencing exceptionally high levels of demand which meant that Jack was required to wait in the clinical treatment room in the Paediatric Emergency Department until a bed became available.

"Jack was admitted to the CAT Unit later that evening and was discharged home the following morning after a medical review.

'We are extremely sorry that there were only chairs available, and no bed'
“We are extremely sorry that there were only chairs available in the treatment room, and no bed. This falls below our usual high standards, and for this we would like to sincerely apologise to Jack and his family.

So why has Boris apologised and sent Nick Hancock to apologise ?
Almost all of what you have posted is wrong ,
We’re getting our news from many different sources .
Don’t know what your getting in Italy but it seems lost in translation at best .
We’ve already had one poster trying to say as fact the picture was taken by labour supporting newspapers when it was the boys own mother.

To be fair you ought to have also mentioned the bit where the lads mother described Corbyn and Labour as loathsome trying to make political gain by polarising attention on her sick child.
Just saying, because the Tories would have been pilloried if the boot had been on the other foot

Labour in Wales are only in charge of distributing the crumbs from Westminster .
Just as labour councils are having to make the best from the meagre rations from the same .
It’s Tory cuts that’s to blame , if you were given a massive pay cut would your family blame you for the things they have to do without ? Or do they understand it’s your evil boss that’s bestowed this upon them ?

Nobody’s mentioned overnight, the damage the tories did in this area in the 80’s hasn’t been repaired yet. You might think that middle aged men stacking shopping trolleys in Asda, and collecting glasses in Wetherspoons is the way men earn a living. I can assure you it isn’t . Well it wasn’t. First they take your job then they try to take your self respect.
The damage they’ve done will take a long time to reverse, I fear for our future when turkeys vote for Christmas though,,,I truly do
