When the government gets round to it I think we’ll find the crisis in the NHS is all our fault. It started with questions like, why should the taxpayers pay for treatment for the obese, smokers, moves on to diabetes, self inflicted. Ends with, why did you fall and break your leg? Why did you grow old? Why should the taxpayers pay for your treatment?
We have strict rules and guidelines we have to follow cyber security wise too so most of our budget goes on that instead of being able to add additional services etc. that other organisations have and use effectively. We got access recently to additional funds which helped massively in upgrading some major kit. And also the governments COVID fund really boosted us to be able to get more agile working kit provided to get staff home which was a plus, but its a shame its taken a global pandemic to give us some funding that has been needed for years.
Is this another of those threads were you have to be on one side or the other. Do you think it wasn`t possible for the owdies to see what was happening on both sides of this argument. Difficult situation for the Government and the medics giving advise, yet this clown has turned this into a political shambles from start to present day, despite all the Tories at the start saying it shouldn`t be about politics. Practise what you preach. I just love being told I`m selfish though it makes my day, not.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/...deadlier-coronavirus-sweeping-Kazakhstan.html If this reaches us on top of Covid and then later this year the annual flu problem, then we are going to be in a mess but unable to afford to have a complete shut down.
Why are we unable to afford to have a complete shut down (if required). If we were at war we would fight until it was over irrespective of cost. But because we are in a different kind of war more people have to die because we are skint? The Furlough scheme has cost £60bn so far (https://www.ft.com/content/a39328ac-d998-4e51-a7cb-7b1ea5902856) yet bailing out the banks cost over £500bn. One was the consequence of investment bankers around the world playing fast and lose with the rules (including our last two Chancellors), yet the other is the result of a global pandemic outside the control of man. We bore the cost of their negligence & greed, but won't bare the cost of a deadly virus - even though it is currently a fraction of the cost.
I'll leave this here . I've been following Dr Ranjeet brar s updates throughout the pandemic . Way above what you get on the BBC / C4 news type outlets . Sadly his full interview from last Sunday hasn't been posted but there is a snippet above which will show you exactly what's happening to the NHS .
He absolutely loves the teams(?) thinks it’s awesome, he’s also convinced that they will never go back to working at an Office anymore full time as a result.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/...t-face-masks-fear-lets-relax-accept-risk.html Boris is expected next week to help kill off the high street, restaurants and pubs some more by making masks compulsory indoors. Lockdown was suppose to be just to take the strain off the NHS and yet somehow is still around. The article gives food for thought.
