I believe we can stay up but not too sure we will . I don’t think we will beat the Blunts on Saturday hoping for a draw but that result whichever way will not send us down or keep us up . Imo it’s what happens after the Blunts game and how we react after the result . If we get soundly beat it could start the beginning of the end , if we draw it could start a revival . Just hope the fans stay with it if we get beat whatever the score ,we’ve been great imo this season so if we don’t get on their backs after I think we could go in a mini run and hope others fail
Well if you don't believe the attitude of the crowd can influence the players performance then it's you that is talking as you put it '*****' what ever that is, never seen it in a dictionary. My point is get behind the teams show some positivity even if things are not going well. It is amazing how fast a negative crowd can transfer onto a team. Exactly the same way it can on a positive basis. Ok, my error saying biggest problem, it isn't but it doesn't help one bit. Look at when we were bottom of league 1, same people saying we are doomed, soon changed when we started winning. We went into matches with a positive attitude, fans behind the team and it helped us, especially when we steam rolled Wigan to secure the play off place.
It happens literally every game around me in the Ponty. Plenty of times as well, booing at half time. Sections of fans booing certain players, subs etc.. People shouting at the goalies how bad they are. It has to impact on their confidence, especially a goalkeeper..
The atmosphere is non existent. Wasn't great when we were playing well first half of last season. I'm sure that is down to large areas of the ground being closed. problem is some of us haven't seen a home win since October (work caused me to miss Sunderland & Brum) & have seen an abject team & our existing manager "one of our own", who we all backed, despite the sh!te results walk out & go up the road to Leeds. I don't know how many kicking in the balls you can take in a season, but hearing two players have had a fight in training & the manager is OK with that has told me enough about this season. We are royally fecked. If anyone thinks otherwise, good on ya. I hope Bagwaan "Believe" Morais has me eating my words on Setdi. I very much doubt it though. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Normally a "Happy Clapper", but I'm all clapped out.
We are staying up... Point on Saturday was in my predictions a win would be a mega bonus. Ps.. Atmosphere in league 1 will be far worse, as we saw in that division you are lucky to get a couple of coach loads with away support.. Just because we are where we are in the league, people look upon a training ground scuffle as so serious.. It happens all the time, remember listening to Andy Ritchie mentioning some of the bust ups and also Daz Shezza on some of the prem team incidents haha.. All blown out of proportion.
I think the 12th man will do everything possible to lift the team. Pity we couldnt keep Harvey Barnes had a decent run in October it looks tough now but still time for things to change.
Will leave it after this, but you are starting to sound like Barnsley's answer to David Icke. For all Hecky's faults (that we ignored, as he was "one of our own"), if two players had got in a fight on the training ground they would have been given the "Angus treatment". When that silly ******* Keane kicked off, what did big Mick do? You can't sit back. Squad is in turmoil, it is obvious. We have made some silly signings in January, other than Moore & McBurnie. Knasmullner, Mahoney & unfortunate injury prone Mills (sounds like a Smiths lyric). Not Jose's fault. A good coach & has had us playing more positively. Not winning though & players not happy. Keep on keeping on. I'll do the same.
We will stay up. I have no proof other than the I just think that we have to get better, we cannot get any worse, so even if we just improve slightly, it could be enough to keep us up.
We had miles better players though - it was the manager who was the problem. This group of players is just nowhere near good enough.
