My wife has gone from size 6/8 to size 18 in 10 years through illness but don’t let that spoil your argument
My lad has Crohns as well. It's an awful condition, but he's ok compared to a mate of mine who has had lots of time in hospital over the years with the same thing. Of course there are exceptions to the "eat healthily and exercise" rule, but generally it's the way to go.
Maybe this is not a forum where we should discuss chronic health issues or lifestyle choices but at the end of the day, prejudice is prejudice.
There's about 2m people in England with a BMI above 40 - are they all blameless, or could it be that your wife is amongst a small number of exceptions?
you can't out-train a bad diet, just eat less calories - you can write it down with a pen and a piece of paper and buy food which doesn't take you over about 1400 for men and about 1000 for women, do a bit of walking - shoe leather only required. Money's not the issue, will power is the issue.
Of course. Just when I got into eating such as brown bread, Weetabix and greens.. I was told I can't. Low fibre diet. And that naturally rules out what everyone calls healthy
Exactly what I did to shift all my weight. Went down to 1500 calories per day. Some days I was well below that other i was closer to it. The weight just kept dropping off I'd say at around a average of 3lbs a week. Occasionally have extra if I eat out or have a few beers but then I go back to my "normal" eating habits. Dropped 6 stone with no medical advice and not even the slightest increase in any form exercise from when I was a fatty.
It could mate. You touched a bit of a raw nerve with your original comment. There’s no excuse for bad diet nowadays but I’m continually frustrated by my work colleagues lunchtime choices.
Indeed it is. So if you are super fit Rugby league player best off ignoring it. If you are struggling to breath after walking up a set of stairs maybe give it a once over.
Me too. I get frustrated when I see someone with diabetes eat five kit kats a day. I'm not saying that everyone should have a six pack or that you can't pinch an inch, but when folk get three stone above their ideal weight they need to action and responsibility.
