Ding is rubbish at the Crucible. It takes something special to lose in the first round four years in a row. We are still waiting for the Chinese world champion and dominance of China that Ronnie mentioned like twenty years ago was going to happen. They produce a lot of players as you'd expect from a country of over a billion people. But nobody who ever looks like winning the big one.

Has Ding really done that bad recently, at the Worlds ?.
They will not dominate the game like has been suggested, but that's got nothing to do with it being hosted in this country!.

" . If you go it's best to take a cushion because those awful looking seats that have been in for decades are uncomfortable."

You must have something wrong with your arse...I'm an Oap and they were alright when I last went.:(

I wouldn't mind Stephen Maguire winning it. He knows the **** end of the stick. He loses his wragg and I feel it every time he misses. Him or Ronnie for me.

Take a bow John Higgins. Brave enough to take the double and then to pot and get perfect position off the last red on the bottom cushion. So much bottle.

Had to go to bed so missed the last frames. Love a close match, Allen couldn't quite good his nerve!

I'm rooting for David Gilbert, I'm a member of his club in Swadlincote, often see him practicing.

Last years would have been classed as an underdog at start of tournament

Looking a good outside bet now. Cueing well (not my opinion - I'm **** at snooker). Be good to see him vs Ronnie in the final.

People were worried that if he's willing to do that in a big crowd with TV cameras filming what's he like behind closed doors. Also that the kid doesn't even flinch like it's normal behaviour that he's used to and not a shock.

I'm so disappointed to see Allen blow it like that, from an absolute winning position. And as for Higgins, Ive nothing to say there.
It looks like Jones is going to put pressure on Trump, and Bingo against O'Sullivan might be interesting as well.
Gilbert has been ace today against Maguire, and I feel a bit sorry for Stevie Maguire actually lol.
And Kyren Wilson might handout a beating to Higgins, yeah hopefully.
This is the World Qtrs, it's where this compo really gets exciting. ;)

should never have been playing. Avoided a lifetime ban for match fixing allegedly due to Barry Hearns intervention. Chinese have been banned for life for the same

Yeah exactly, that's what annoys me the most about him.
And I have no respect for him anymore, regardless of who he is or thinks he is!.

He was stiched up by the News Of The World. He thought he was in danger surrounded by a group of men, so told them what they wanted to hear for his own good.

Completely different situation to Chinese players or Stephen Lee or Quinton Hann.

I still don't trust him/Higgins one little bit though, and I have no interest in him 'winning' (whether it's fairly or not) anything ever again.
Meanwhile, has Stephen Lee now passed his ban, and can he get back on the Snooker circuit again ?.
And hasn't the co*ckney kaggie handed Mark King also been banned, for similar accusations.
