We were done by Warnock. Typical fouling, cynical tactics, unpunished by a spineless lovely person in lime green, who played along with it. One set piece badly defended & we lose. Typical Warnock. That's why they are 2nd in the table though. They won't win any beauty contests, but they will be up there come the end of the season. For me midfield was too deep, with McGeehan & Gardiner both playing holding roles & Potts not getting forward enough. I like Potts, but for me he is better further forward & wider. I see the need for rotation, but Harvey Barnes playing too well to only get 30 minutes at the end. Hedges was, I agree largely not great, although he did deliver a killer cross in the first half, but we had no one in the box. I was sceptical about Bradshaw at the start of this season, but he has proved me wrong. Great first touch & his movement this season has improved beyond all recognition from last season. Moncur looked dynamite when he came on, shame he didn't have more time. Pearson looked good at CB for me. He is decent cover for that position. If we start with the team we played at Norwich I fancy us to beat Leeds. We need to get a good start & rattle them. They have Wolves tomorrow, so we should be the fresher side. Not a disaster tonight, just typical Warnock.
That goal should have been a consolation goal, but when you're so poor in the final third and the other team are still in the game, these things will keep happening.
They were a typical Colin side, dull and predictable but we couldn't beat them because we were piss poor.
Far from the worst. Not even the worst this season. Better than both Sunderland & Birmingham. Fair to say they showed little ambition but they were very solid at the back & I can’t remember us making any clear chances. Also worth noting that when we did have a go at them after going 1 down they were tearing us apart down the left. Maybe it’s fair to say we stopped them playing as much as they did us before the goal. You’ve got to give it to Warnock though, the job he’s done there & at Rotherham is pretty incredible when you consider the budget & ability of the players at both clubs. Having them in 2nd is incredible
Nowhere near the worst, or the luckiest. Yes, it was a lucky goal, but I doubt their centre halves have had an easier night than marking Thiam. They didn't trouble us much, but we didn't trouble them either. 0-0 would have been a fair reflection.
