    Embarrassing. Cringeworthy.

I just don't get it, they're desperate to copy the Germans, Poles, etc. but it's a completely different culture.

Maybe I'm just a miserable lovely person?

So funny watching the Huddersfield "ultras" march to the stadium behind their little HTFC flag.

Do we have any? I've never seen a single "ultra". Just fat middle age men or young chavvy kids.

Honestly think football "hooligans" (for hooligan read ****) have a special place in hell alongside Theresa May, Jimmy Saville, and ISIS

You're getting confused between Ultras and Hooligans mate, which are two very different things in many countries.

Only Ultras I've ever encountered were at Roma when I went with a pal who supports them. Seriously nutty people. I put them in the same bracket as hooligans. Could be getting confused

In Italy Ultras are different to Ultras in Germany mate :)

Although a lot of German Ultras sections don't really like visitors/day trippers joining them unless they make the effort to add to the atmosphere. Seen a few have their phones taken off them or told to **** off for taking too many pictures.

I used to knock about with Wilson Ultras back in 1997 but changed to ProV1's to get more distance and control

Ah got ya. Well I'll change my answer. Think it's daft if English fans try to replicate something that developed organically elsewhere.

Love German football though. They have it right. Not like the premiership which surely must die on its arse soon enough. It's had it's peak.

If you want a really good laugh, check out the MLS Ultras page on Facebook. Hilarious stuff.

I think that's the problem. In Germany ultras are dedicated fans who like making noise etc. Hooligans are people who like causing troubles.

In England they're both in large the same people. Pissed up and causing noise. Yay. And trouble. Boo.
