Things looking a lot more positive than they did Saturday evening. Still think we need a striker, but will be feeling a lot more optimistic if we get this lad, Mahoney and Knasmullner over the line in next day or so.

Would be nice to know these a sorted so we can possibly prepare for the last ditch Fletcher attempt haha.

That extremely unlikely last minute loan I was banging on about is Fletcher. I still don't think we've any real chance. Transfer windows are crazy though, you never know!

Ephestion one sounds good. Deal very close by the sounds, but we heard the same about Manzala. Looks very promising though.

    Aye.

That’s one of the reasons I’m keeping out of it. Way too much to feed back.

I wouldn’t advise anyone to get their hopes up about Fletcher. He’d be a bonus one. If it’s possible though they’ll do it.

@redarmychris do you think this is a deal to be done alongside Knasmullner, or will it just be one or the other?

    We were targeting both.

The only deals I knew that were one or the other was Mahoney and Kai Kai.

Then the loan striker is Fletcher/Mcburnie or if unbelievable we’ll get no one or one Im unaware of.

Our contacts abroad must see future potential in him I’m just wondering how much we’ve seen him play .

We have signed 3 so far , so how many do you realistically think the club can sign ?

I think the club’s intention was always to sign 5-6 players in this window. We severely underperformed in the summer (when comparing in v out), and have several positions in need of strengthening (with players who will at very least compete for starting places immediately).

I personally don’t see it as unrealistic to expect 5 or 6, with another keeper and a strong midfielder as a priority in this window.

I hear what you are saying but I am of the opinion that in the summer 16 players left & we actually signed 16 new recruits , someone will no doubt have the accurate stats & put me wright but I do not think I am far off , so I do not think we underperformed, however , not every signing is a success & players are moved on or replaced , so the next 48 hours should be interesting

I was refering to the 5 mentioned by me in this thread. Wasn't counting the ones we've already signed in this window.

To answer your question though, I am confident that we will get 2 more through the door before midnight on Wednesday.
