Once a Red.....lost my Dad 10yrs ago but I still feel he's with me.. Very sad time mate. thoughts are with ya..
Sorry to hear that Bud. Sounds like a lovely fella. Look after yourself and when you’re next at Oakwell and we get the first goal, give an extra load cheer for your old man.
sorry for your loss, made me fill up when you said about brewery stand etc, be 40 plus years ago now, your dad would have been 40ish during those hey days and amazing how time passes so quick and now sadly he as lived his life, hope he had many happy times in the time after those days, but what days they were
My sincere sympathies Tarntyke.... My own experiences mirror yours over our introduction to Oakwell and Father and Son relationships! After Father taking me to Oakwell for 50 years, I took my Dad to Birmingham City (H) 3 years ago on the Saturday, we won 1-0 and he was suddenly gone on the Monday. Strangely we didn’t win at home again for many months. Many folk reading this will know My father through the fantastic BFC community (Club Shop Norman). I know you might want to remain anonymous on here but also we are all actually (yes) sometimes human and I probably know your Dad and yourself through working in the club shop 25 years myself on matchdays. Keep safe and above all remember all the support that surrounds you in this virtual community and beyond! David
I lost my old man in 1992...sincere condolences...but as del rosso said earlier, the smiles will come back...the jokes... the funny or embarrassing incidents will be as funny as they were originally and leave you with the greatest affections that can't be taken away.
So sorry for your loss. Lost my dad 33 years ago and he was also responsible for introducing me to the reds under Clarke. Stay strong mate...
