If Hecky rates him shouldn't that be good enough for all of us?

Why ? Do managers never get things wrong ? He signed Armstrong last season and that worked out terrible! Hecky is human and just as fallible as the rest of us. I will back his judgement on players before my own though !

Not as highly as he rated Winnall.

Fair enough. Bradshaw. Has a record of slow starts at club career.

    Winnall. Is slow

To be fair Mark Roberts wasn't that far behind Bradshaw. When Bradshaw left Tyrone swore not only that he would outscore Winnall and finish top scorer but that our team was stronger after January and We would definitely make the play offs. I'm not sure Football analysis is his thing.

I am not saying Armstrong was a roaring success but to say he was terrible is a tad harsh.

Not sure about that one. Only. Time will tell I don't have the benefit of a crystal ball. I don't even have a goldfish bowl I can turn upside down and pretend

Harsh on rubbish yes. At least some of that can be useful when recycled. Armstrong was bone idle, lazy, useless and if he was a Barnsley player and not a loanee from a big name club he would have been dropped never to be seen again and would be currently waiting to be released

No he wasn't Tommy, the ones chasing down defenders were Bradshaw and Watkins. Armstrong was the one strolling around like a poor mans brek Shea

    Tommy. Opposite I that's me.

I telling you that on a number of occasions Armstrong used his electric. Pace to chase down defenders. He lacked effort when the ball was aimlessly. Lumped forward I will grant you that

Was he any more effective than say RNL and that's what happened to him. It's far too early to write Armstrong off he's clearly got ability but he cannot waste opportunities like he did with us last season. It's a big year for him he certainly needs to improve his work ethic and adapt his game but I for one hope he manages it. His time with us was a failure. Mark Roberts nearly got as many goals as him that doesn't mean that's his future.

Ah well. Act like a bone idle waste of space and get treated like it. Put in effort and get treated accordingly
