Seeing as Labour and particularly Jeremy Corbyn always seem to be on the receiving end of lies and smears in the press (and being believed out of hand if the evidence on here is widespread) then I think it's only fair to hold the Tory party to task for their own failings.

Let's just look at the last few days....

A report on Russian interfence is stopped from being released before the election despite the fact it has gone through all the relevant channels. No reason has been given.......in entirely unrelated news in 2017 the wife of one of Vladimir Putin's exministers gave a £160k donation to the Tory party to play tennis with Boris and 30k to have dinner with defence secretary Gavin Williamson.

Jacob Rees Mogg says in a radio interview that more people would have survived the Grenfell Tower fire if they'd had common sense.....he has since apologised and said what he meant to say .

Michael Gove has been retweeting anti semitic tweets claiming they were by a member of the labour party and Momentum as it said so on tweeters profile.....neither had ever heard of the person.....he hasn't apologised.
    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...h-labour-member-corbyn-momentum-a9184601.html

The Tory party candidate for Gower has been revealed to have posted on Facebook in 2014 that the people who appeared on Benefits Street should be put down.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politic...ote-people-benefits-street-should-be-put-down

In 2015 the Tory party promised to build 200000 new starter homes by 2020......so far none have been built.

A report for the Trussell Trust released today shows poverty up and food bank use up.....their own food banks have gone from 57 to 424 in the last decade. Mogg once said this was a good thing.

These are just a few examples of Tory hate and lies from the last few days....feel free to add as I'm sure there will be new ones daily ;)

Gove was on the Today programme this morning on Radio 4. Very little to say about Tory party policy, just ranted about Corbyn, the Labour Party and anti-Semitism. Pathetic, like a child. A most hateful man.

They will fck this election up if they only rant about Corbyn, hopefully they’ve learned nothing from May’s atrocious campaign.

They won’t want they’re policies debating because there’s no substance in them .
It’s like Boris deal on Brexit it won’t stand up to scrutiny .
The Tories have added nothing to this country only division and hate .
The hatred that’s built up has stemmed from the Tory campaign of 2010 and carried on the momentum ever since .
The reason they are targeting individuals rather than trumpet they’re policies is plain for all to see they are bankrupt if everything but hate and division.

The divisions within the country on brexit were caused by tory obsesion with sorting division in their own party politics.

Starting to feel like they know they’re going to win whatever they do, so are just doing what they want. In fairness they’re probably not far wrong. Single issue politics to base an election on means a huge number of brexit supporters will vote for the tories regardless of the measurable and clear reduction in their quality of life as a result.
The worst part about it is the clear and obvious plan to sell off the NHS. I will never forgive those that voted for this when my family and friends are unable to receive medical care under a US style health insurance system. I hope it’s worth it.

The more I think, the more I believe huge divisions have always been there... we just didn't realise they was such a schism until the last 3 years.

I don't think we'll heal this country at all any time soon.

I read something recently about 2012 and the Olympics being a high point of tolerance and openness in the UK. Then I was told that it was also the time when the Hostile Environment was introduced and sanctions started coming into effect for disabled people.

I recall posting back at the time saying what an amazing atmosphere it was in the Olympic stadium and how enjoyable it was to be in an encouraging collective environment compared to the crowd at football.

On reflection though, was there a collective joy at welcoming nations from around the world, being inclusive, being open... or were there other reasons some people (speaking aloud, just a loose theory) were positive at that time? Winning medals. Showing the world we're better than them? (not my view, but could be attributed to jingoism) And other associated threads for anyone with a vehement rule Britannia streak in them.

Things certainly feel very very different now.

Most dodgy comments and news about all MP's doesn't get shoved around and reported widely..

Look at Jo Swinson.... Why didn't the remain biased media jump all over some of her funders... Fracking companies and another connected with Russian oil?

But all MP's and candidates on all sides make comments they soon regret.

New Labour Candidate for Coventry Zara Sultana has had to apologise for her comments about celebrating when Bush and Blair die......

I'll tell you my biggest issue with voting Labour, it is the possible cliff edge.. If you are a remainer and think Brexit is a danger to our economy, surely the same can be said about having the current Labour party in power. It is the unknown element of what could happen with such a drastic and widespread change to government policy.

Can any real pro Labour supporter put my mind at ease on this? Can you show me another country where the socialist model for Britain proposed by Labour is working in another country? I've researched myself but end up with examples like Venezuela... So when I say Corbyn is unelectable, that is the single biggest reason.

I'd escalate that further, if we left the EU with the hit we'd take in at least the short term, likely mid term, and potentially long term, the addition of a huge political socialist shift around an anti business sentiment would be utterly crippling in my view.

I look at policies above (if true) of 4 more bank holidays and a 4 day working week and the huge hidden cost that's shifted onto business is significant. and that's just those two policies. The natural reaction if the business environment and access to markets is poor, is to relocate or change structure to allow a more efficient operation. We'll see businesses relocate because of leaving the EU (if we do), that will just be accelerated if there are massive business taxes and red tape added.

Sweden? Norway? Denmark? Most of the Labour policies in the 2017 manifesto were taken directly from government policy in those countries.

    I am a pensioner.
There is no interest in bank or building societies hence I have a few shares in National grid .
If Corbyn gets in he will nationalise them.
    No dividends issued..
Hence my extra income gone. Same for those in other power companies
Then there is the question of where is he going to get the massive amount of income from to do everything he his going to do.
Taxing the rich ? Taking income from utility companies ?
It just does not add up and this guy will bankrupt the country
Always being Labour controls the workforce but Tories control the money
They will move their money out of the UK and same with other companies , lots of working class do have investments and will sell them which is not good for companies

National debt has doubled under the Tories since 2010. In fact, in that period the Tory government has borrowed more money than all previous Labour governments *combined*.

Out of the years in power since WW2, Labour have reduced the national debt in more years than the Tories despite being in power for less time.

Scandinavia, New Zealand, Portugal. You can't compare British politics to South American politics.. well, perhaps the drug cartels with the Tories.

No disrespect but you have swallowed the Tory line hook line and sinker .
These companies are making millions most of which by overcharging us fir the product in the first place .
This money that is going to be collected under Labour is the money earmarked for the massive salaries and bonuses these top bosses pay themselves .
All tax cuts have done is reward the richest , these company bosses have Gone from a few hundred thousand a year to tens of millions for what?
Fir taking charge of companies built up by the tax payers of this country . Every time some investment needs putting in our bills go up the large bonuses and salaries never suffer .’
These bonuses are a sham as they are paid out whatever the state of these companies as the Bosses of Thomas Cook has shown us and Philip ******* Green who raped BHS and sailed away with the pension pot .
Something has to be done to stop these Charlatans who put their address as some far off stateless island to con the tax man aided and abetted by the lawmakers of our land .
You may worry about your dividends if their nationalised but I worry about my ever rising bills to pay bonuses if they aren’t ,
