    Well I'd probably agree in general. Have no idea about Payne but I don't think the indications are good. I'd like to see at least two strikers in, one more on loan maybe and one who has been as successful as we can practicably afford to buy and pay.

    I can't form an opinion on Payne myself. Barely seen him play to be fair, only the cameo appearances at home. I think he has something to offer us, pace and strength and an all round pain in the arse for defenders. But whether he can deliver that at Championships I honestly don't know. Looking forward to finding out.
