Seeing us away at grounds like Goodison and Old Trafford was a massive thrill in the Premier League season. But for me, the biggest thing wasn't the away matches, it was seeing Oakwell full to capacity every week with Barnsley fans. It didn't matter who we were playing pretty much, the ground was full and the atmosphere electric. Only the Premier League could give us that on a regular basis.
I'm sure Steele made a bit of a **** up for their goal.[/QUOTE] Really poor defending for the goal we didn't react quick enough when he finally hit it we had 4/5 players surrounding him not one went to attack the ball.
I'd like to see us win the Championship by 20 points, but then tell the Premier League to ****** and insist on having another season in the Championship so we can hammer everybody all over again. And so on, ad infinitum.
I thought it was Kozluk's fault. He headed it back into the danger area instead of just flicking it on towards the corner flag. It was only about a year ago I finally managed to watch film of Odejayi's miss. I bottled it up for so long. It still hurts.
Premiership much different now. Very little in it outside of the top 6. If we got up now we’d have a much better chance of establishing ourselves. Cardiff had the issue of having a nutter running the club when they got up for a season
Palace used to get huge crowds back in the day. I remember watching them at selhurst in 1972 (when i lived in kent) against sheff united in the league and there were 50 000 there.
