Maybe they should take encouragement from their packet and the nice life they get for twenty hours "work" per week. Or from the fact that they have the opportunity to perform to the best of their abilities and make the pay packets even bigger and their lives even better. Maybe they should take encouragement that their manager's job - and other people's jobs - depend on them performing?

When you think about it, people singing songs about plant pots or red suspenders is a bit irrelevant really.

    Sounds like a movie title:
    What's Eating Gilbert Grape
    Kissing Jessica Stein
    The People vs. Larry Flynt
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada
    Saving Private Ryan
    The World According to Garp
    Unconvincing José

José is convinced existence is meaningless, the possibility of happiness stunted by his dysfunctional upbringing and the limited opportunities afforded to the son of an immigrant family in a blue collar neighbourhood where the refinery has closed its doors for the last time. A chance meeting with an enigmatic cocktail waitress puts into motion a series of events that dramatically alters the direction of his life forever, but the journey itself and the characters he meets on the way will have fewer tougher battles than unconvincing José. In cinemas April 1st.

It's a pretty tedious 90 minutes to be honest.

Not really everyone needs support in some way try doing your job with no support all around you being negative it's not a good place to be. Money is not everything.

They get support from their manager, coaching staff and team mates.

There’s a world of difference between the quiet stadium you described and a lack of support/negativity

There’s one thing for sure, I didn’t punt abart for signings from the lower echelons of football in the hope of proving myself right. I coughed my money up, for the 20th plus straight season. It’s not my fault we are cack. No amount of shouting and screaming will change it

I suggest we all sing "Fell in love with a girl" by the White Stripes if we take the lead in a match.

It seems a very quick song to me. Something we can get through and enjoy before the opposition equalise.

We seem to have the album. So no extra expense.
