Williams needs to be put back at centre half. We have no pace at all. He might as well lose headers like the others do but at least he’s got pace to catch them up. Absolute donkeys.

O’Keeffe is the most productive right full back in the league (based on assists and goals) and needs to be playing games.

    Disagree

Even at wing back his pace has been found wanting.

I don't get this pace with him tbh, cos he ain't no Usain Bolt

It's all relative though isn't it? The rest of them are slugs.

I can't disagree with that either, but Williams ain't as quick as everyone is making out. He's skinned a few times at wing back never mind at centre back. He may be quicker than others, but he is not fast

Yeh, fair point. Meant as though he’s quicker than the average footballer and a lot quicker than our shower of *****. The attackers we’ve made look world beaters the last few weeks were faster than our slow defence.

Williams isn't good enough, along with a few others. Bang average league one player, we need better.

Said it before and i still think russel would be a better option at CH with no pines. Connel dm and kane the attacking mid. Russel is a big guy to win those headers and can also pick a pass.

stopping the tip tap launch it lose it would also help matters. Painful to watch.

His pace is his greatest asset....he's not really a footballer but imho he's no good at defending.
I do believe this to be his level ...keep him at wing back please.

By that same token we could play Cosgrove alongside him. Two big lads who are just GREAT at getting up to head the ball. Oh, wait......

Cosgrove is supposed to be a sTriKer... russel a defensive mid = he's supposed to be able to tackle and win balls (made a mess of the one he got injured in though).

If we're just playing silly buggers then we should play everyone as a striker that way we'd score loads of goals and it would be ace.

It doesn't matter how fast you are if you're caught too far up field and you're giving your man a 5 yard start' thats his problem most of the time' bad positioning' it happens a lot with Cadden too.

I always used to see him as an average squad player, not really one I expected to be regular first choice and less so club captain.

To be fair to him, that was a few seasons ago and he has exceeded my expectations, but he’s not good at the moment, like a few others tbf. Maybe the responsibility of the armband?

Unfortunately, Williams is one of several players that seems to have gone visibly backwards throughout the second half of the season. Same can be said for Roberts, Earl, Cadden, Cole and even Connell. Trying to think of players that have actually improved their game since the new year, and I'm struggling. Phillips perhaps - and McAtee has also kept fairly consistent I reckon. That's pretty much it for me. Everyone else IMO, has either not materially improved, or got visibly worse.

We need to make changes in defence, we ship a minimum of two goals a game. Maybe we need a defensive coach?

Bobby Moore was probably the slowest central defender ever, but his reading a game and speed of thought was probably the best ever. It's not just about foot speed. I'm not saying this particularly in the context of any of our current playing staff, I'm just saying.
