"Racially aggravated assault"? Does that mean "he" hit "him" across the face with a leather glove... several times.
If they are calling it racially aggravated assault rather than just assault would that likely mean they at least have some audio of the incident at a minimum?
I said this in the original post on Saturday. If the club are switched on, they’ll report it as a hate crime - get’s more attention and likely to carry more clout in the process. We all know it’s being clamped down on big-time. He deserves all he gets for his actions. No different to a man on the street.
My best mate is a copper in Edinburgh, they have a zero tolerance to this stuff and all you have to do is include the country of birth to a discriminatory sentence ie "you english b#stard" etc for instant race type crime.
Possibly not, but given that they usually put the suspect's age as part of a press release, that would perhaps indicate that doing so would make it too obvious in this case. This way keeps some people guessing. I know where my money is. And it rhymes with Zoe Carton...
Does Stendel have any say in whether or not all this goes to court or is it a decision for only the CPS and Police. (can't help feeling this is going to end badly for Barton Stendel and BFC)
I think it is him. Not sure why but it's just a feeling I have. Everybody deserves a 271st chance to redeem themselves.
You're right that it hasn't been confirmed but I know who I would bet on if the bookies were taking money.
Why is it going to end badly for Stendel and BFC.If the allegations are true and our manager has been attacked don't you think he deserves justice.?
It's the racially aggravated bit that's confused me. How could it be Barton and Stendel? They're both Caucasian. German isn't a race. I’m wondering if it’s Cavare.
No idea, I really haven't but I'd be surprised if Barton racially abused Cavare. He's a thug but he's not that stupid surely - he wouldn't risk being knocked into next week by Toby. I'm wondering if the press are saying racist to describe anti German language - could this be classed as racism in the eyes of the law?
