Alfie Mawson has got to be up there.

We signed him for an alleged £50k; and whilst we only got 1 full season out of him and a few games of this season, we got a dependable, modern day centre half, who scored about 10 goals and helped us to 2 Wembley finals in what was our best run of form in over half a century.

We then sold him a little over 12 months later for an alleged 10,000% profit and a stake in his future.

He looks increasingly likely to move to Spurs this summer and if Toby Alderwiereld moves on, I reckon he'll be a regular this season in arguably the best team in England. He could very easily go to the world cup next summer.

With the meteoric rise he's had from the conference South, it certainly isn't out of the question.

Barry Thomas and Johnny Evans. Club virtually bankrupt and close to the bottom of the 4th Division and these two with their goals increased attendances and enabled us to get out of that division the following season.

Have you obliterated the memory of Messrs. Spaceman and Parkin, Jimmy C?

To qualify. They all inherited crap teams and made em worse. He had the second best team in our history and dismantled it. Spaceman and Johnson were worse though I give you that. Can't diss Parkin he k ew me grandad
