Warnock is dog 5hite. Ask Aberdeen.. playing in a league of a similar standard to this and won 0 of 8 i believe. Plan for next season and the future after that.. and his football is as bad as what we have seen so far.

He might but he’s universally failed wherever he’s been of late.

basket club, but didn’t he do well in the cup for them?
His promotion record in English football must be up there with the best of them, so you have a funny definition of dog *****!

Let's be right they've both done shocking teams shouldn't be getting beat 8 nil at home to Newcastle or losing 5 nil away at Burnley. Hecky had a net spend of 35 million ok not alot in the premier league but more than the likes of Luton.
Last time I looked wilder had a better ppg ratio than hecky this season.

Quite like us to go down the route of attacking football. As much as I love Warnock, he’s not what we need. There was a bit of noise about Travis Binnion in the past and his style of football is gung-ho at Man United under 21 level. Do we bring someone in to sort the defence out though? If so, we may have to not be as risky.

He's 850 years old, there's no way he can still jump. He did crap in Scotland, we don't have the players to suit his style (in terms of play or mentality).

I'd rather we look to someone who's interested in being here next season and for once we have a manager that gets a full summer to prepare for the season. Feels a long time since that happened (probably not that long in actuality but it feels it!).

The idea of bringing in Warnock or anyone else is just bonkers for me. Totally insane. The suggestion that they could coach a meaningful change out of a bunch of players they don't know in the space of a couple of weeks is ridiculous. Warnock has succeeded in 'save the day' situations before but he needs half a season. To give it to someone external like that now is just spunking money away on little more than their ability to give a rousing team talk. Giving it someone new, even if they are internal, anyone, gets you half way to that anyway.

The only option that is not bat **** crazy is to keep it internal until the season is done then make an early play for who we want next season. It has to stay with Devaney.

People will point at his record so far and say its no wins from 3 but that's hardly a fair comparison to other managers when he was just holding the reins on a team that had already failed someone else.

If we are churning out any of the usual names then I'd have Duff back. After the end of the season.

If the man we want is available now, why wait till the end of the season? Get him on the training ground tomorrow!

And who is the man we want?

Warnock is a divisive option, there's as many would hate to see him in charge as want it.

Out of interest has Devaney ever won a game as caretaker?

Imho with Duff...though I thought he was great for us...his record suggests it takes him 8 games to forge his teams and usually early results are poor.
The one thing I would like to say is that under him (once he got going) all the players bought into him and seemed to know their roles and what was expected. This present team seemed devoid of those instincts all season.
I'm against the timing of the sacking and again I wish him well.

I do. And I don't think he's a good fit for that either.

I actually woke up this morning thinking this wouldn't be the worst thing.

    - Doesn't have a club.
    - Wouldn't need to get up to scratch with knowing the club.
    - Knows the majority of the current squad.
    - Chance to right the wrongs of last year/this year etc etc.
    - Probably hasn't got a chance at another championship job and this would maybe be a free hit at getting one.

Know he f*cked off the majority of the fan base after being here for the 'long haul' and f*cking off early, but if he got us up I guess most of us would forgive him.

I dunno, maybe this is the complete ramblings of a mad man :D but if it was announced today he was taking it, I'd probably be pretty happy.

Duff would be the ideal choice for me. Luton and Nathan Jones both swallowed their pride and it worked out ok. As long as we're not under any illusions that he'd stay if the Bristol City job came up, then I'd go for it. As you say he knows a lot of the squad and he was a brilliant fit with the club. If we have any chance whatsoever of getting Duff we need to bend over backwards to make it happen.
