There is kinda a fine line between innocent ignorance and racism. The West Ham recruiter's words mayve been taken out of context ..who knows

 

I don't agree with him but what he said isn't racist. He said African players, not black players. He didn't say that he wouldn't recruit a black German, a black Swede, a black Belgian.

It was a crass, sweeping generalisation but not one based in racism.

 

The fact that you think that it's been blown out of proportion is now enough info for me to stop debating this with you. It's pointless.

Maybe you think that your words were taken out of context as well ( that’s the usual excuse ). I thought that what you originally said was pretty clear even if it isn’t what you’d choose to say now. I made my comment based on first opinion.

I don't feel a need to change or defend what I first said. It's just my opinion of one individual and what he's alleged to have said.

I've added the rest for balance as the debate has progressed in view of people wrongly calling me a racist.

If you think I've really overstepped the mark, keep the whole conversation dialogue and report me for whatever you think would stick.

Just try not to arrange my public flogging around Saturdays and Tuesday evenings though. I like to go to football.

For what its worth i completely disagree with your interpretation of what he said but i dont think many people on here would really think that makes you racist

 

It's not difficult to be tagged as a racist on here. Just post that Thiam was crap on Saturday and that is enough for some. Sensible debate is extremely difficult at times.

I’m getting a bit confused here. I never called you a racist, just a Neanderthal! Old fashioned views about what is acceptable for people to say. You’ve also lashed out at everyone saying that most of us have made racist comments and are hypocrites with no evidence whatsoever.
