Who should be on the pitch for the pasting on Tuesday night? I’d go (442)

    Collins

    Brittain Helik Andersen Kitching

    Hondermarck Gomes Styles Vita

    Morris Adeboyejo

You have to start with Palmer and Moon, as we build the team around them.

Also, ignore Hondermarck, as he shows too much commitment, and also Vita, as he has had a game this year.

Depends on the long throw competition in training tomorrow.

Agree about trying 442. We need two central strikers operating close to each other and to get crossed into the box. Also need an extra body in midfield which would in turn give us more width.
Won’t happen though. Modern coaches seem to have ditched 442.

Modern coaches will say 4-2-3-1, when really it is still 442 or 451. Ultimately, you pick a number of defenders, midfielders and forwards. I think the only changes I’ve suggested to yesterdays line up are brittain to come back in if available, and a wide player to come in for Iseka, which then moves Morris more central.

    Really? You'd play Palmer again?

Why don't we play the dummies that Paddy McCourt danced round on that spoof video some years ago? Can't be much worse than this lot.

Oh, good point. No, I put Hondermarck in as well. Gomes to protect the back 4, vita to get balls in the box, Hondermarck to drive forward from the right and Styles to get forward and support the front two.

Kevin Betsy alone would run rings round this team

I think we're now at the point where names and systems are irrelevant.

Midfield? We... we've got a midfield? It's a while since I've seen them play, when did that happen?
