We appoint a manager who the fans like but doesn’t do well next season? Just sack him aswell……this constant changing of managers has to stop asap!! I used to mock Watford for there process and we have become the same, a laughing stock!!!
If we have a manager that does well next season, he will leave for the first bigger job offer that comes in. Schopp and Asbaghi were like some mad fever dream, but let's not forget the other 3 most recent managers all left on their terms, not ours
If Duff as lot of the same pillerks who were spunking themselves silly over his failures at swansea but now bairning for him back is half as intelligent as I think he is he will give this shitshow a wide birth.......sithi.
We didn't sack Duff. We didn't sack Struber. We didn't sack Ismael. We didn't sack Heckingbottom. We didn't sack Johnson. Can't tar us with the same brush as Watford.
Yes, if they fail to please the fans they will get the sack. It’s how football is, and that won’t change anymore. Flip that too, if a new manager comes in and gets us promoted in the next few weeks, starts next season like an house on fire he will be gone in January. I do think as a club we tend to be fair to the managers. Collins should’ve gone a few games ago for me, on a personal level it’s not nice to see, however, time was up in my opinion. I do find the timing weird, but he had a matter of weeks left at the club regardless.
Since the days of Lee Johnson almost a decade ago we've only sacked Morais, Schopp, Asbaghi and Collins haven't we?
Speaking to another club hardly amounts to misconduct especially when Conway had sold the promotion team from under his feet
Since the Crynes have been involved we have sacked or managers/ coaches that have left number around half of the entire appointments in the clubs entire history(52)........sithi.
And up to Collins, all of those completely justified with pretty much unanimous support from the fans at the time. The sackings usually are the right calls, but it does bring recruitment into question. At some point, owners have to take accountability for recruiting these managers in the first place. But if you look at our recent 'proper' managers, going as far back as Flicker - most have had some measure of success. Morais, Poya and Schopp are really the only ones that have been proper disasters.
How many of the managers sacked during that period, do you think the fans have not wanted sacked at the time?
Dunno off the top my head but I reckon Ritchie for start was unpopular especially as that snake Davie replaced him, ill add Stendel that an'all .......sithi.
As harsh as it was for Andy Ritchie, I do think we were going straight back down again under him, in season '06. And yet somehow, simple Simon kept us up didn't he!.
I make it 6 chose to leave and 12 sacked in 21 years since Crynes took over but there's a chance I've missed someone
I didn’t want Collins sacked. I think his record had earned at least the last game and a bit of next season results depending. The problem is I think due to fans his position was becoming untenable.
