Within the space of a month or so we went from he can pick his contract length to on yer bike .....been run by pillerks for donkeys years........sithi.
But it’s surely not just about recruitment policy relating to managers is it? The player recruitment policy, which is basically aimed at trading rather than building, seems to me to be fatally flawed. And it has finally caught up with us.
Same with most clubs mate. Take out Klopp & Guardiola, think the average amount of time in the premier is just over a year or around 30-40 league games. I assume it's relatively similar to most professional clubs. The Championship is a basket case for manager comings & goings like. It's why there's a whole analytics/system etc and why 'managers' dont bring in their own players, only pick the ones they prefer from the choices given to them by the club (usually). It's just something we have to adapt to.
Well he/Ritchie picked up the pieces didn't he, after Paul the hitman Hart spectacularly flopped!. And that total nonsense in sacking Gudjon in the first place, was all down to P diddly Ridsdale.
Problem for me is the Crynes influence still hangs heavy over the club .....who carries the the can over the appalling recruitment over the last 3 plus transfer windows Shirley Cryne junior has some questions to answer as its his date recruitment we follow......sithi.
We appoint managers nobodies heard of or are from lower in the hierarchy. Why can’t we play hardball when negotiating their contract? Why give them such an easy exit? How many clubs in the EFL have sold as many managers as we have in the last 5 or so years? Our model is completely broken and the tosses in charge cannot see it! The model will repeat over and over we need change behind the scenes!
