He can't carry on indefinitely, regardless of how popular he is. Somewhere along the line he will have to go. Yeah, we all know about last January, us having one of the smaller budgets in the league, and any other mitigating circumstances, but sooner or later a decision has to be made by the board. If Hecky can't work within the budget he's given, they will try someone else that's willing to try.
If he didn’t sign them as in choose them how are they his twatting players? Are you totally convinced he saw Thiam knocking abart in non-league and thought yes, Ganaye GET HIM IN
You can see the players are still wanting to play for Hecky apart from Thiam who is totally unfit . We just need a little more quality and well be ok . Fulham were no better than us today .
It was bad preparation on the part of Kieffer Moore. He obviously cut his toenails this morning, but their centre half didn't. There was a great ball into their box in the second half which their defender got his toenail to nd deflected it out for a corner. Moore just couldn't quite reach it. If his toenail had been longer and their lad's shorter, it would have been 2 - 1 at that stage. Tongue in cheek obviously but it just shows how fine the margins are at our level.
FFS He's taken a rag-tag mix of lower league players and even with some of the better ones missing, had them dominate one of the most expensive sides in the league on a blistering run of form, to the extent that they had one harmless off target shot in 45 minutes. We should have gone in 2-0 at half-time and surely would have done if Tap-in-Tom wasn't so slow when he was put clean through that a lad starting five yards back of him was able to dispossess him. The game changed after the spontaneous combustion from Cavare. Even then Hecky got enough from the team to merit at least a point. If anyone's to leave the club after that game it should be one or more Frenchmen.
You moan about the Manager, but did you watch the match. The way Radio Sheffield summed it up, you would have thought Fulham were a Premier side in waiting. In the first half we demolished them,. They were restricted to diving for fouls, and had one shot on target. If it hadn't been for the stupidity of Cavare, I am confident we would have won the match by 2 or 3 goals.
If you look at the league table compares to budget....... Aren’t we just about exactly where we should be?? If not, a touch higher? I would argue that we are over-performing still.
Our budget should have us in the bottom 3. While ever Hecky has us outside that or challenging to be outside it then he is being as successful as our budget allows.
