The costume version? Mid nineties? l remember at the time not many clubs had a mascot on the pitch before the game and now they've all got one, even Donny.
Is Croppers barbers still open on Wellington Street? If it is , pop in there and ask the lad that owns it when he started dressing up like a dog?
Yep, he still works there, nice lad that went completely bonkers as soon as he changed into Toby, was the best we've had.
was he the one that used to put the ball on the halfway line and dribble it into the away end goal. used to enjoy that.
Thats him, a bit near the knuckle with some of his antics, dunt know how he got away with some of em, but boy, wasn't he a star a Wembly.
missed his wembley antics couldn't drag ourselves out of the pub' only just made kick off tbh. but he was the best pre match & halftime entertainment ever imo at oakwell especially when he used to wrestle with the players on the pitch.
I remember he used to **** his leg and symbolically p155 on the away fans after he'd scored. Also remember some fans, I think it was Man City, chucking bog roll on the pitch and Toby picked some up, wiped his a.rse and threw it back. Loved it. It was the season before the promotion season when he first made an appearance I think.
The toilet roll one was legendary, remember it well. I'll bet it was the same fan that complained and got him into trouble!
He was there in January 1997. Got a photo of him in front of ORA stand and I'm sat in the seating behind him.
