I was thinking if ( i would be over the moon btw with a top 10 finish) how many of our current match day team/ squad would start, if we were to go up
£1.5m at the end of this season if we go up or not, some said it was a pointless transfer when we signed him....
At the moment, based on the limited appearances I've seen, I wouldn't trigger the permanent transfer clause. It's still very early days of course.
From Dane's comment about the agreement figure is around what we've been paying for our players recently. Given Kane, Thomas etc were £1.2m it'll be around that.
Maybe Helen but we would get rinsed week in week out ( imo) Norwich spend very little in comparison and appear to be too good for the Championship but not good enough for the PL, I reckon 4 possibly 5 would start of the current crop, all opinions of course
Assuming $20m is correct, the option to buy is around £14m at today's rates. Dike oozes star quality & has had an immediate impact, so if his rate of development is maintained along a path to promotion worth around £100m in year 1, it could be a close call (especially with more $ to £). Clearly very little chance, but most likely to happen if Super Dee-kay bags another 10 goals & we pay the $20m to exercise our pimping rights.
Smaller teams that go up and stay up tend to keep a bit of continuity from the promotion season, it's the second season when the £15-20 million pound signings turn up that things go wrong.
