A quick look on Transfermarket has him valued at £2.7M. I don't know how reliable they are but I'm much more inclined to believe that valuation for a 29 year old MLS Rookie than 20M

I hate sheff utd but that promotion season i thought they were quality tbh, he also had that squad which had been together quite a few years, saying that is recruitment this season as been shocking, I hope he would keep the faith but we would need 3 or 4 quality signings imo

But transfermatket has Kane valued at 625k and according to here he was bought for 1.2 mill

 

Now im not saying Football Manager is always 100% right but it is normally pretty good, just started a save with Barnsley on new official transfer update and its got Dike's optional future fee as 1.5mill really hope its got it right on this one

 

It's not with any inside knowledge, other than as mentioned above, Dane said the fee was more in line with our recent spending history.

 

You'd spend £20m on a 30 year old in the final year of his contract? Are you Chansiri in disguise?

 

We need the experience, and it won't come cheap.

Anyone who thinks that DD would be worth anything less than £5m where we've won promotion and DD's played a big part in that isn't living in the real world. I'm MulleRed not MysticMeg and it should be obvious I'm not predicting that we'll win the play-offs and Dike will bag another 9 goals

You won't get £5m for a kid with a handful of professional games to his name, in the real world.

 

If we go up, bite their hands off at anything up to £8m or £9m. We would at the very least get our money back f it doesn't really work out, and make a lot of proffit if he turns out to be a world beater.

If there is any thruth the agreed fee is around what we are currently spending, then I'd be more than happy to take a punt at say £3m(which I assume is much more than any other player in the squad), as long as his wage demands are not daft. Again, it's a calculated risk where a future profic could secure the financial stability of the club for the short to medium term. He will also be a joy to watch!

 

Haha I was joking Helen. I'd piggy back Conor here from Villa, and from Swansea too for that matter. I think he'll be much cheaper than £20m though.

 

If GBP keeps surging the way it has done recently we'll be able to trigger Dike's $20m release clause with a ten bob note
