I'd go for casa disco...I was in there nearly every Saturday morning and John Brittons...I use to love going in there as a kid.
I used to love going to Micro Fun to get the latest games on tape. It was on Peel Street next to the jewellers. Its now a kebab shop.
Butterfield's had a great grotto at christmas - woolworths for mr men books and bhs cafe - top sausage , chips and peas
Butterfields = earliest shopping memories, ans Woolworths when it was a 3 storey store on the Burtons site. Pub - Dollys, obviously.
It just has to Casa Disco. I would go in there every day before / after Sixth Form College. I saw a bloke in a Casa Disco t-shirt at the management talk on Monday night - quality!
Oh Dollys, I'd forgot about that place, I use to go in the for last drinks every weekend, good call fi
I'd thankfully forgotton it, used to walk the other side of the road and still get ears blasted by the music! Used to be The Magnet though didn't it, used toget picked up there by Royston Legion for away games
is there any truth in the oft quoted saying that when you type " describe the 80's" into google a picture of dolly's appears !!
