    Yep, think he was in the year above me as well. If I remember correctly he was already getting some attention from the Barnsley scouts.

    Was in Brewery stand.

    Wish we had that sort of quality now.

    The team was slightly stronger the previous season I thought, but still a helluva team. Banks & Glavin in midfield, awesome.

    Haven't watched this since back in the day. Picture quality isn't bad.

    The big difference I see between then and now is how quickly we moved the ball forward finding a red shirt because players were prepared to be positive and commit themselves forward. Obviously these are only highlights but no evidence of constantly having to breakdown 11 men due to the obsession with keeping the ball at all costs.

    Can remember that game vividly after all these years.

    Purely because I recall the breaking news that Karen Carpenter had sadly passed away just before I set off to the game.

    Ian moores also passed away from cancer quite a few years ago.

    Sorry for the morbidity but RIP to the aforementioned people

    Yeh if i remember right they ran on to the pitch with crew cutts big lads, looked like a team of bovver boys

    I was, I remember it well. Derrick Parker was a far better player than many gave him credit for.
