What do you mean something PH doesn't have a great history of?
The fact we never spend any money or that Hecky doesn't sign his own players?

I'll have a guess at Bolton, Hull & Burton based on nothing more than the boards at these clubs appear to be either unwilling or unable to provide funds for any incoming transfers this window. Knowing my pathetic record of predictions means it'll be Sunderland, Birmingham & QPR who go down!:D

Anyone who was at the match on Monday and still think that Sunderland will stay up knows nothing about football.

Don't believe in God thanks. Moreover it's you're.
I don't think he has no say at all I think he is or at least has been restricted by a very narrow field of choice. Or do you think otherwise?

Thanks for the riveting start to your response. I think there'll be other people giving their input but overall he'll have the biggest and final say. Just like at any other club.

If that's the case then what is Billy Beane's job?

Not sure he can afford Gareth Bale at Sunderland and hasn't just failed to take them to the World Cup. Oh and we even beat them ....

I certainly hope that is the case going forward now but I don't think it has been up to now. I think at best he has been able to choose from a list of players. With no influence up on the names that are on that list. So I don't get the relevance of the original inference that we should be worried by Heckys record in the transfer market.
As for the start to my response I was somewhat irked by the attitude of "oh god"(who's imaginary) you are a "lost cause" because you do not agree with me. Well sorry all the evidence would suggest that Hecky does not have a large influence upon transfer policy. The man himself says the same, so are we saying he is lying?
I seem to have to keep making this point, you say final say, but what do you imagine that means?
    1. I don't want "a" let's go after "b"
    2. I don't want "a" well back to the list then.
    3. I don't want "a" well its that or nothing?

Personally I believe we are somewhere around 2. I also think the transfer policy isn't that bad it just perhaps needs some tweaks.

Didn't realise he had a job, thought he was an investor?

Would have thought so yes. Think you need to look into the term investor.

So he wont use any of his statistical analysis like he did in baseball to find us players?

We may used some of the models from his statistical analysis and i do believe that is what the spreadsheet we are using is inspired by. I think James cryne is a fan. The media jumped on the Billy beane thing but I doubt he will be involved in any substantial way down at Oakwell beyond his investment. He is apparently the executive vice president at a baseball franchise in the states. The yanks do love those long titles.

Well if I remember correctly at the press conference the American guy said billy beane will visit oakwell at some point in the future. Hardly looks promising he's gunna be a 9-5er does it.
