Of getting a result Saturday Without Neil Collins in charge? Let's face it even Horsham would have beat us playing like we did 1st half Saturday.
Equally as mad to go into the play offs playing such negative boring stuff, conceding for fun and in relegation form.
Well no disrespect to Northampton... But although it's our own bad fault that we're in this position, surely we've got the easier fixture out of the challenging teams. I don't know if this sort of game puts even more pressure on us, but surely we should deal with it, hopefully!.
I still don't know his style of play and he had been here a long time. The Horsham draw was one of the most embarrassing cup ties I've seen up there with Altrincham under little lee and Chester under Wilson. Been 2 and 3 goals up in games and sitting back and conceding became the norm. Bolton at home, port Vale away, posh away. Poor appointment from the off.
I think all 3 would have rather we kept Collins we conceded 5 v Lincoln and 3 v blackpool recently under Collins.
Me. cos if they don't put a shift in on Saturday we will be asking if it was Collins or is it the players who were at fault. a good performance and it lays the blame at the coaches door.
Me, but it might not specifically be because Collins has gone. Rather the bit of bounce we might have and a bit more hope from the crowd.
Not me, although I feel it’s the right decision to sack him. My reasoning is the players are woeful, & a set of losers, especially if they do miraculously start performing on Saturday. And the main thing dragging us down is the board, they have been absolutely awful running this football club.
I do. We have the players to beat Northampton with plenty to spare. But there’s no way we would have won Saturday if he was still here. The disconnect was too great, for whatever reason he couldn’t get a tune out of the players any more. The pressure would have been unbearable and the atmosphere in the stands horrendous. Gun to head will we go up? Unlikely. But let’s not die wondering eh? Just because someone appears to be a nice bloke.
I honestly couldn't see anything but another loss on Saturday. We may still not win the game, we might still not make the playoffs, but the dice had to be rolled IMO.
Ask me again on Saturday morning. They have four days to raise spirits and give the fans hope. If it's just another week at the office, with Disco taking training instead of Collins, I'm no more confident than I otherwise would have been.
I’m always daft enough to seemingly wipe my brain clear of the crap we’ve seen on the previous weekend so I woke up this morning already looking forward to the match on Saturday. Collins going doesn’t change it for me, it will still be tense and nervy. However, I feel it will perk some fans up definitely.
He's gone silly ******** but if you think our problems are over you haven't been paying attention..........sithi.
Most of my confidence has (or rather had) gone, and I could see us conceding first again after 20 odd minutes against Northampton. And we might have luckily got a Reading type score draw, and would be hoping for other results to go our way, again!. I don't know how or why its got this bad, but I still did think Neil deserved to see the season through.
