I do wonder if the main reason they moved Collins on at this point of the season is because of a dressing room mutiny? IF that’s right then our chances on Saturday must be better without him
At least 30% more confident now he has gone. If they bring an emergency interim in tomorrow that will rise to at least 50%..
All these saying let him see the season out on relegation form in the worst League 1 for many many years, I not sure what standard you wouldn't find acceptable Next to Zero chance of us winning the play offs maybe even missing them with his negative play style, so the dice had to be rolled now, just think what 12 million quid TV money could do in if we sneaked the play offs with a bit of motivation in the team.
I dont disagree although the Blackpool commentary team said that was their best performance of the season.
I feel more confident that the atmosphere on Saturday will be more conducive to us getting a win. It will be an equally tense watch, but with less pent-up toxicity waiting to be unleashed. I'm also putting reliance on the fact that those closest to the situation have made a call that genuinely surprised me, as I'd expected them to be 100% supportive of keeping Collins in-role at this late stage. It's not a decision they'll have taken lightly and if the board view it as the best chance we have of success, then I find it somewhat compelling at this stage.
A little more confident as I think the crowd will get behind them and the players will hopefully treat it more as a liberating one off cup final than the latest in a winless streak. Coaching staff are also in place so should hopefully not be too jarring a change in training. Having a go and playing like we do when we're 2 or 3 nil down from the start would do!
I've got to agree. I'm not a fan of collins football but 1 game to go seems to me that the board have done it to lap it up to the tossers who stand and abuse collins and the squad all match Can't wait to hear more from them...
Speaking of confidence, here’s our record v Northampton. They’re unbeaten in the last 4 visits. W3 D1 https://www.soccerbase.com/teams/head_to_head.sd?team_id=208&team2_id=1867
An if they play 5hite an the Boooing starts, an the exodus starts, [ hope not ] then its a Club clearout an start again. I personally think we've got a lot of good players but dunt mean we've got a good team.
I’ve heard that a few times this season. Charlton and Stevenage most recently. We are one of the teams to beat and I think we’ve struggled with that at times.
100% I’m even looking forward to it now rather Han expecting pitch invasions and protests.i don’t mean the mugs who run on at the end either.
