    Thanks for rapid response, Whitey.

That's what you get when get in bed with a massive global bunch of lovely people like Sky then... flapping about time constraints.

I couldn't get a programme, there was a (in my opinion) 15 minute queue at the only seller I saw and I wanted to get to my seat to see the pre-match buildup.

I bought a WSB though, no queue there.

He had a fishing tackle shop in Chapeltown for years as well. Great left foot.

Can't think of a better corner taker in all my years than George Hamstead. He had Big Winnie to aim at and the ball invariably landed on his head. It would be interesting to know how many of Winnie's goals were scored from these crosses. Probably lots.

Oh, and I'm talking about a centre half, not a centre forward, although he did play up front at least once and got a hat trick against Watford.

What a game that was against Watford, 2 down at half-time, Winnie moved to Centre forward to score a winning hat-trick. I think Mike Walker was in goal for Watford( who got promoted that season) that night, who went on to be Norwich and Everton manager.

Yes it was a terrific second half played in front of a very small crowd (4,000 maybe). We had nothing to play for and I can't remember if they were already promoted or not - they certainly must have thought it was a walk in the park. Eric had other ideas though:)
