Assuming the case ran from 9am till say 3pm, about an hour before the admins last statement, I'd say its far from cut and dried, and the panel would need to give themselves some time to deliberate.
I'd say this is more pertinent... 5. The investigation The joint administrators confirm that, at their request, Mr Au Yeung has had a Zoom meeting with Mr Krasner. This meeting lasted over an hour and the information provided by Mr Au Yeung assisted with the arguments presented in the appeal against the 12-point deduction. The investigation is continuing. The joint administrators wish to reiterate their thanks to the players, staff and supporters of the club as well as the people of Wigan, who have been resoundingly supportive of their efforts to secure the club’s future.
Standard unless the hearing concluded quickly in my experience there is a panel of 3 so they will need to confer and discuss etc
Wigan fans genuinely believe they have always had a well run club because the debts were always paid by someone, not realising that the reason they’re in this mess is because the people that have always paid have stopped paying and they’ve overspent for years.
I do find it interesting how this decision will be fast-tracked and swfc not something inherently inequitable about that
Beginning to sound like the cheating twohats have won, as I feared. It certainly isn't in any way cut or dried.
Without being in the room and being able to in some way read the minds of the panel there is no way anyone could know. They’re not going to sit there and make it obvious what they think unless one side is utterly incompetent.
yep. if u search wigan appeal. wednesday fans tweet. saying i hear wigan have won the appeal. anyone can pit that up as he has just ro wind ppl up.
I must admit, the more I actually read into what's gone on there (which I hadn't done before!), I'm starting to think they've actually got a decent case. No doubting they've been had by some right sh1thouse owner. Would not surprise me one jot if they win their appeal, so we'll end up where we finished on merit. This has unfortunately been whipped up into tarn v Wigan and it never should have been that. Real culprits are south of us, to be fair. I think it'll be League One for us. Quite honestly, if it's even half as much fun as last time round, I'll go with that. It might even make our owners show their true colours, which is what we've all been after....
wat ever has gone on. they enter admin and cant pay ppl. having to sell players. 12 points off should be
The QC and the panel are doing a shuffle. It’s reportedly cost them 500k to have this joke of an appeal, for that amount the QC and panel have to justify their fee by taking time to consider the decision. Love the statement from the administrator, thanking the fans who have contributed so they could finish the Season and pay some staff! If that’s not an Admission of running out of money I don’t know what is! The zoom call with the previous owner must have been hilarious. You appointed us for the administration of your recently purchased company, why did you put this great well run football club Wigan Athletic in administration? Because it was losing £17m this year, there’s no money left in the bank, creditors are due to be paid next Month and I’m not paying! They are unsecured I don’t give a toss about Wigan, never been. I bought the company, in a sham transfer of ownership over here in HK to help my mate out because he wouldn’t pay either. His face is known mine isn’t and he bunged me a few quid to take the heat off him. Anyway I’m running out of internet credit. Good luck in paying the creditors 再见.
