Wow I dunno what must have been going through his mind to be greedy when he could have set up a tap in, like he could have when he hit the side netting against Leeds.

I was looking across from the opposite side and didn't realise what a fantastic goal opportunity we passed up.

Needs to work massively on his team play

If he does he will be worth fortunes

    The talent is there

Yep. He continously gets himself into fantastic positions and if he had the footballing brain to lift his head up and find a man in a better scoring position he'll get bucket loads of assists.

Think he got 14 assists for donny last season where he played out on the right cutting infield

I like his combativeness. It is often said that strikers need to be greedy, but it is a fine line. Of the games I've watched this season, he often shoots when he should pass. However, the others sometimes pass it around until we lose it, rather than shooting. It's not an exact science.

Doesn't suprise me mate because he's got it in his locker. Did he constantly play right wing for them last season?

I've only seen him on the left or upfront for us

    It’s a conundrum.
Thomas played his best stuff at Coventry on the right, Wilks with Donny on the right and Brown with us last year on the right.
I’d be playing Brown up top personally.

Yes he played on the right with Marques down the middle I’d love to see him get a run of games on the right think he’s a lot more effective there but that would mean moving Thomas to the left.

The winner of the conundrum would be Wilks for me 16 goals and 14 assists last season on the right far more contribution than Thomas at Coventry. Think it’s bizarre how we sign someone who’s had such a good season and don’t play him in that position I’d rather see Thomas moved to the left to see if it benefits the team.

Thomas did play left yesterday and it was probably his best performance albeit without a real end product.
I'd be happy to see Wilks right, Thomas left and Brown alongside Woodrow on Sunday.
Be interesting to see if McGeehan comes into midfield now Halme took a knock as I expect Sibbick will move to centre back.
But three games without starting Bähre? Stendel's favourite?

Eyyy Magic is my favourite. I make it no secret on this forum that I’m a huge fan of Mike Bahre. However when you’re in a position like we are currently where we need to battle to avoid getting dragged into a relegation battle, there’s no place for a technician. It’s all well and good when you’re bagging them in left right and Centre at the top of the table but when you’re down the bottom you need lads who are going to get stuck in and show abit of spunk.

No matter how much I love seeing magic play now isn’t the time for him. Get a few points racked up and then introduce him again to add that extra bit of flair.

Shows he doesn't have "favourites " surely. Bahre will get another chance I'm sure but he can't keep playing him when hes not producing.

I'd show Wilks the times he could have squared it this season and a projection of the league table had he squared it. Possibly bring Bahre back in at the expense of Wilks.

I didn't realise we had an unmarked player there at the time too. What went through my mind at the time was that he saw the defender coming in for ages to make the block, why not dummy the shot and then he had a sitter.

Aye Wilkes has been a disappointment so far, but like others I would prefer him out wide, now Browny is back on the right maybees a spell on the bench is his place rather than the gaffer trying to shoehorn him into the side.

Nothing better than a defender throwing himself to the ground early. Makes life a lot easier for the attacking player in most cases.

Wilkes and Thomas our best attacking players. Both very young so will grow into it.
