Can' let that go wthout pointing out what a pile of **** that is. I am not sure if you know the story of David Hirst going to Wednesday but the truth is that we didnt have a pot to piss in at the time and Hirst came into training one morning and was called into Clarke's office. Clarke told him "we've just sold you to Sheffield Wednesday, you need to get over there as soon as possible because they are waiting to do your medical." In other words, he had zero influence in the matter.
I am in favour of keeping Danny . Just wish he would stick to 4-4-2 and get our players to pass and keep possession more in games
I am not allowed to self medicate my friend but i take great pleasure strolling round my home bollock naked wearing only a pair of Sandals chanting all hail the Messiah!
That's the thing whitey. Most people with half a brain can see that changing managers doesn't work. And there is plenty of potential for this team to grow into one to be proud of. The vocal 20% just repeatedly bang the drum making themselves sound like right tits. As if their constant whinging will have any effect. At one point today one of the regular wrist slitters had started 4 similarly negative posts almost in a row. Most people were desperate to have a clear out of personel, bring in young hungry players while blooding some of our own. We are doing that and because we haven't had instant success a few people now throw their toys out of the pram. Wilson 100% in.
So in the history of association football, no manager has ever been sacked and their replacement has gone on to be more successful? That's never happened.
Despite the poor season we've had (I agree its been very poor so far) I am still confident that Danny is the right manager to get the squad right and to turn the poor performances into good ones that will see us moving back up the league. I always expected this season to be relatively underwhelming and so far its turning out to be just that. I expect next season to be completely different and this is when we should start to really judge Danny and his squad. Twelve months is not enough time to rebuild from the foundations up and in reality this is what Danny has had to do.
Well, funny that, I was just going to say the same about you. We're all in the same boat here, we all want our team to do well, so there's no reason to get angry or insult your fellow fans. Calm down ffs.
Statistically you are correct its never happened. Teams on average earn 1.3 points per game managers are sacked when teams dip below this standard. At some point there is then an increase in point per game to prove the statistical average at which point performances return to the average before dipping below the average when the manager is sacked and the process starts again. Sacking your manager is as effective as changing your tea towels
I can find you the source material if you like - but for ease of access look at Soccernomics by Simon Kuper - Why England lose... i even get a nod in it for some research I did.
Does it explain how Bournemouth were 92nd in the football league when they sacked Jimmy Qunn and replaced him with Eddie Howe, and six years later are top of the Championship?
