Yeah definitely. If you don't attack random people you've nothing to worry about.

If you did that to me, I'd want to hurt you badly. It's human nature.

So presumably when you hurt someone even more badly than they hurt you, some mate of theirs is quite within their rights to mangle you even more?

Do you think this despicable Wolves chap should have been stabbed, disfigured, killed?

There's human nature, which we have laws to sometimes try to temper.

Then there's the law of the jungle.

Why not exaggerate the situation a bit further? What about if someone fetches a water cannon or even a tank, just just for good measure?

Not everyone can be as sensible and controlled as you obviously.

    You judgmental ******.

    Personal abuse.

    That's neither sensible or controlled.

Obviously not the time for a discussion. Peace be with you.

I deplore violence, even more so when it's unprovoked. Difficult not to retaliate when you see it first hand. That said sometimes it's the only language that some understand.

I always remember a discussion with a friend where we disagreed on this subject - he can be quick to anger and physical confrontation (but only when provoked) and I'm always the one who's trying to separate people and stop any fighting from happening. I pretty much stand by my stance of 'violence is never the answer', but I couldn't really come up with an argument when he said that it just means that odious people get away with things, and that they'll have carte blanche to just do it again. I've still never managed to square it all in my own mind.

It would save a lot of bother all round if people could just manage to be decent human beings to each other.

It's human nature when alls said and done. Everyone deals with situations differently, and sometimes even surprise themselves when put into a situation. It's the 'fight or flight' thing. It's in all of us to a greater or lesser extent.
