Yes I know this is one of those annoying questions, but Im asking it again here lol. Would we take a draw/point right now if it were offered for the game away at Ipswich ?.
Personally no on the back of a derby win and an impressive display v Bristol we need to be looking for all 3 points, they haven't scored in 5 out of last 6 games, have nothing to play for & Mick is leaving in the summer. We must go all guns firing for 3 points forget about the Bolton game until after Tuesday night. If we do get 3 points we are going into the Bolton game with 2 successive wins and still a game in hand let's put the pressure on them.
Yes I know about their poor run of scoring form at the moment, and the fact that Mick is finished with them when the season ends etc.. But surely none of us expect Mick to do us any favours do we ?. Thats just ridiculous to suggest because hes never done that since he left us, either as a player or a manager.
I didn't say Micks going to do us any favours! But a club at unrest and players who are playing for a manager who isn't going to be there next season would on paper be an easier prospect than playing a team who'll give 110% and scrap for every ball trying to make the playoffs or trying to stay up. This for me is the easier game out of them & Bolton that's why I feel we need to come away with 3 points.
We've got to try match the result of Bolton (and Birmingham for added comfort), I can see both getting a point, so we need at least that.
No, this is our least hard away game left. In fact this week represents our best two chances of three points imho. We need to summon the spirit of Michael Turner!
For me we need to win. On Football on 5 last night, they guessed that the number of points needed for safety would now be forty four. The quicker we can get to that total the better. Win Tuesday and next Saturday and things could look a bit rosier. We were very unlucky to lose to Ipswich at home. We really should have been home and hosed by half time. The display of unity by Jose and the boys at the end of yesterday's game told its own story. They are totally "together" and hopefully their luck has now changed and starting with three points on Tuesday night, things are starting to look up.
