If we’re still at least 4th bottom when we kick off against Norwich I’ll be happy.
Tomorrow night will be the first league game I've missed for nearly three years. I therefore fully expect us to win (and then get hammered by 'Boro when I'm back in harness on Saturday). Same ref as at the Stadium of Light tomorrow - good omen?
And if we're still at least 4th bottom when the final whistle goes at Derby I'll be fcukin' ecstatic!
2 tough games on paper 1 point would be positive but focus on Cardiff first. Palace deserved a point tonight but got nothing.
Yes definitely, it means its still in our own hands then to keep ourselves up, rather than keep relying on other results.
I expect two losses this week and would be happy if we can gain 1 point in either match (as long as its NOT because we've sat back and tried to defend a lead though, that will feel like a defeat).
Avoiding defeat at both Cardiff and Boro would be a major achievement and confidence booster - if we can do what we did in Flitcrofts great escape and compliment the odd point away at tough grounds with home wins, we'll stay up. That does rely on us actually deciding to win games at Oakwell again though, which we don't these days.
Aye, I feel a bit negative effectively saying I don’t mind us losing as long as everyone else does, but that’s where we are with two tough games.
Traore is hard working and very fast - however, he needs to develop further as his end product still needs improvement and his footballing brain doesn’t keep up with his legs.
Similar to Walcott really all them years ago - pace to burn but after that, the final ball is somewhat lacking. For me, he’s a lot to prove before someone like Citeh come in for him.
If you saw Boro V Arsenal last season, you’ll know what I mean.
Sounds a bit like messrs Bullock & Marcelle used to be, at their best and at their worst all at the same time lol.
