Oh No not you going native as well :)

Still its a lot better than being sued for "causing season ticket sales to fall" like at Blacky
wish I could come but Farnham to Barnsley is a bit far for an evening meeting
    Hope the recording works!

do you really think that? my own view is that we have a great squad on paper for this level, and are woefully under performing. 3 or 4 wins would still put us right back in the mix in top 6. i'm still not sure if this is about not going down, or pushing for the top 6...

Seriously? This squad is nowhere near good enough for a promotion push. I'm seriously worried about relegation...

I would say we have a mid table squad no better or worse than that.

Opinions innit. I think the squad we have is much better than our league position.

I'd like to ask a question - which is probably a variation of the most common - but here goes. (I've sent it by email too.)

Danny Wilson has the perfect CV to get Barnsley out of it's current predicament - he is not a bad manager.

So given this fact and the fact that since leaving the club Keith Hill "rediscovered" his winning ways at Rochdale gaining promotion, Mickey Mellon is currently leading the league with Shrewsbury and Flicker is flirting with the play offs at Bury (all admittedly in the lower league ) when are the Board going to acknowledge that they don't recruit bad managers - it is something within the club itself that destroys them - and if they have realised this - what and how are they going to do differently this time to ensure this time next year the Cryne children are not looking at another wadge or their inheritance walking out the door following another perfectly decent manager moving on to become a hero at a different club instead of being a hero at our club..

No he hadn't and he failed miserably. The League Table doesn't Lie, but I agree with your final paragraph to some extent.

What you are saying is kind of my point.

    Look at Danny's stats.

    Barnsley England 2 June 1994 7 July 1998 201 74 72 55 36.82
    Sheffield Wednesday England 7 July 1998 21 March 2000 80 23 40 17 28.75
    Bristol City England 27 June 2000 5 June 2004 226 107 64 55 47.35%
    Milton Keynes Dons England 7 December 2004 June 2006 82 25 32 25 30.49%
    Hartlepool United England 31 June 2006 December 2008 133 58 46 29 43.61%
    Swindon Town England 26 December 2008 2 March 2011 121 44 37 40 36.36%
    Sheffield United England 27 May 2011 10 April 2013 106 55 20 31 51.89%

If there is any other manager with stats like the above for this league I'd say there would be a significant groundswell of support behind their appointment.

They would be a natural target.

    Unless it was Colin.

I won't be suprised when (when not if) Danny takes a team like Bradford or Coventry or Notts County or Preston to the play offs in a couple of years.

Whatever (y)our current views on the last six months it's the club - not the manager that needs to change

You may have a point. I have no confidence in the current set up.

What's the minimum expectations for the new manager going to be?, ie play offs?

I'm sure someone will be able to word it better than I can but essentially I'd like a question posed about the timing of the sacking. Why wait until the transfer window is shut? Surely it makes more sense to do it a month earlier or wait until the end of the season?

    - (this isn't supposed to be a confrontational question but will probably sound like one) Given that Danny Wilson has been sacked for under-performing versus the plan, how is the CEO measured on success? Non-playing staff are surely a 'liability' if gate receipts are falling. What are this year's/season's objectives for the CEO?

    - Given the amount of money required to hire and fire managers, why are we looking (according to the media) to hire managers already in roles when there appear to be a good number of out-of-work managers?

    - What are the selection criteria for a new manager? It appears that we are again aiming for young managers with an eye to develop, and sell, nurtured talent.

    - Why do we rarely hear from Maurice Watkins and Barry Taylor? Why are the same individuals (Mansford/Cryne) in the firing line again tonight?

    - I thought the appointment of Wilson was a masterstroke because he was a manager that the majority of fans would stick by if the going got bad (and break the hire/fire cycle of recent years). How do the senior management ensure that the next appointment won't be yet another 12-18 month hire? What does our manager due diligence look like?
