Just thinking about the season so far. Only 5 defeats. I'd have grabbed that with both hands before the season started. Out of those 5 defeats, only one really concerned me. Wycombe away. I was a bit worried about how we had been beaten by a very limited team like that. They invited us on, and then kicked the ball over us for their strikers to chase. It was basic but effective, yet they were posting that it was their best performance in ages. In hindsight we maybe needed that defeat. I think it could prove to be the turning point in terms of what's acceptable, and hopefully teams will have to do more than just work hard to get anything against us. I think maybe Stendel learned something about his players that he had to change? - next 4 games have been much better. I really fancy us tomorrow at Luton, but if we don't win, hopefully it'll be because Luton played really well. Not because we didn't turn up.
Donny aren't a bad team. They're only 3 behind us in the league, and they do try and play passing football.
Need to pound Wycombe when they come to Oakwell just so they realise how lucky they were to catch us out like that.
Shrewsbury played very well though, plus my original post wasn't about which was the worst reds performance of the season.
Best side to come to Oakwell this season. Many of our fans brought up the excuse of how poor we played, but I think they deserve credit for stopping us playing our game.
