I noted for one of Bristols goals, he barely left the ground to challenge the header they scored from.. Was sorta hoping it was just a mistake rather than him starting to become not bothered. Hope thats not the case as he will ruin any memories at BFC and the crowd will soon be on his back and become resentful.. Slippery slope if so, but hope not..

His 2 performances have been below par by all accounts after his head has been turned. If his heart isn't in it it's a sell for as much as we can for me.

I cant understand why Hecky picked him last night . He's rightly trying to find our best 11 but that's ultimately going to be without Yiadom . So why play him ?

I don't think he has given up at all but acknowledge he is not playing with quite the same intensity, which made him the player he was last season. His ball to Hammill which led to our third goal was sublime and it's that sort of quality we would miss.
If there was any loyalty at all in football he would stay. A year ago at Ipswich he looked what he was - a L2 FB. He should be grateful to Hecky and the club for turning him into an international footballer, but that's not the way it works.
If he wants to watch Prem football from a bench somewhere so be it.
I'm not going to lose any sleep if he does go, he's a decent player but entirely replaceable. This season, more than ever, we need a squad who will give everything for the cause.

Because he doesn't think the other full backs are good enough and wanted to win the game?

He needs to look at Winnall and start to think about his chances of playing in the Premier League. He'll be No more than a bench warmer.

What did he sign McCarthy for if he doesn't think he is good enough to play against morcombe? He was in the league one team of the season last season so you would hope he was good enough.

Its silly how quickly players feel they outgrow the club.. 1 season admittedly playing well in the championship and hes suddenly too good for it. Feel he might be joining a few others that were keen to get away at the chemist buying ointment for his splinters

Maybe he didn't sign him. He hung him out to dry after the Rotherham game so doesn't seem overly impressed so far.

He was certainly a shadow of himself last night. Having said that, he's under contract and therefore owes it to us daft sods who turn up to occasions like last night to do his very best. I'm all for letting him run his contract down in the under 23's if he doesn't wish to put the effort in. It would also send a message out that the club is bigger than any individual...

Having read what he reportedly said I can't say I'm all that alarmed. Wants to play in the Prem, but he's a Barnsley player. All it amounts to. Didn't think he did bad last night - difficult for anyone to look great given that defensive unit. For me he stays - simple.

He had a poor game last night.

I've no problem with it, he's only human, bound to be keen to play in Prem

If Yid's attitude isn't right, and as a result he's under-performing, if I was Hecky I'd drop him, to maintain that important unity within the squad.

It would show the others how he values those players who have full commitment to the club over anyone looking for an outlet.

I haven't seen any live matches yet, only online, but have to say when Bristol City scored their second goal, a header, his challenge looked quite weak and half-hearted. Several others on this thread comment about his disappointing performances.

Transcribed word for word. The key thing though.... who arranged for him to give an interview on his future from his living room? That's the main point. A player wanting to talk about turned down offers and wanting to play in the premier league on the main sports channel. Something Mawson didn't do. Nor Hourihane. Nor Stones. Not even Winnall. That's what I find distasteful.

Keep your gob shut, let your performances do the talking and when you get your move, the best of luck.

Giddings saying he's told the club he wants to leave so not surprising. Get him in reserves if he wants to act like a child, he should take a note of how Hourihane, Scowen, Watkins, Mawson etc behaved.

I'm very much on the side of I don't blame him wanting a move and feel no aminosity whatsoever about him not wanting to sign a contract extension. An interview from his house is weird though because 1) As you say who arranged it? and 2) You think he'd have the common to say no. Interviews on match days fair enough, you can be tripped up with probing questions. Extra interviews in your living room though is a step too far.
