He did but when it was denied he made a statement to the fans and then got his head down. Yaidom should never have agreed to the interview without the clubs consent.

This has just appeared on SSN's Transfer Centre:-

    "YIADOM DEAL OFF

David Wagner says their pursuit of Barnsley full-back Andy Yiadom has now ended and Huddersfield will not be going back in for him."

Hm. Not a surprise, but I do wonder if Hecky will give him starting positions in the near future. When he played in the Cup game he didn't seem to be 'in it', and I wonder if he will be for the rest of the season. Wanting to leave, being close to leaving, and then being denied to leave..... Love to be proven wrong, obviously, as I think he's a brill player, but still...

Town Manager Wagner has now officially confirmed that the reason the transfer broke down was not on financial grounds.
He wouldn't comment any further saying because he was still our player, it was up to us to say more.
So as we've been speculating it does sound as though he has failed a medical.

With Dimitri Cavare coming in, is it now likely that Yids will move on.? Time will provide us with that answer.
Hecky is quoted in the Chronicle as saying it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could be offered
a new contract. Be interesting to see what happens in the future.
