Middlesex flying in their game, we MUST win ours. So we took bad light? Can't fathom that decision. Unless it was really dire. I understand them going off for rain in the morning session, but thought they would have stayed on this aft and batted them out of sight. Full day to bowl them out tomorrow ..... job done. Strange one.
It's not quite a complete disaster. Middlesex will have to have the game wrapped up by 12 before the heavens open in Birmingham. Yorkshire will have until ~3pm to force something. Two draws quite likely unless Warwickshire completely collapse. Have faith in Trott and Bell.
Looks like two draws in ours and Middlesex's games. Shame as I thought we could've won comfortably had it not been for bad light, which is annoying because lights were on and by some reports light was no worse than this morning. Frustrating, but would be a point gained on them with 2 home games to come Warks have just lost 3rd wicket though. Surely they won't mess up. Not many overs to hold out as long as forecast is correct
Yes but weather's not good for either. Rain all day after 12pm in Birmingham and after 3pm in Southampton

we started well actually and gained 2 extra points on middlesex, but then they tore into warwickshire and they are more likely to win thier match than we are. unless we make a brave early declaration and really get into the hampshire batmsen, i can only see a draw happening.
i never bother with weather forecasts, they are harder to predict than the footy lol. so if we both get frustrating draws tomorrow because of the poor weather, it lowers our chances of winning the title again doesnt it.
Most likely unless we can pile on quick runs, make defeat almost impossible then declare and try and get 10 wickets
Rain coming here by mid afternoon at the latest, we could declare now 250 up and have a dart at them. We are best off taking the draw however and look to win next week before the big showdown with Middlesex
